Birth parents grieve too, and for too long we have ignored what happens to birth parents after they relinquish their children for adoption. But I Didn’t Surrender My Love takes a new look at how this decision may affect a birth parent’s future. This video does not discourage adoption, but rather asks us to examine our current adoption practices that cause sickness rather than promote healing among the adoption journey. Birth parents talk about self-esteem, family and social pressures, how they coped and why they search. It may be painful for some to view, but there are important questions here for us to consider.
